Community Futures Peace Country is excited to announce that registration is now open for the SongRise Music Conference, taking place October 3–4, 2025, in Grimshaw. This two-day event is designed for musical entrepreneurs and will include hands-on workshops focused on songwriting, recording, and the music business. Sessions will be led by industry professionals such as Duane Steele, Jake Matthews, Chloe Albert, Matt Patershuk, Holly Sorgen, Alberta Music, Arjun Roy, Joel Lavoie, George Brothers, Randy Fillion, Long Story Records and Elle McAndrews. On Saturday evening, participants will perform at the Concert of Songwriters, a live showcase at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex Fieldhouse, featuring the music they created during the conference. Conference pricing is $295 for a full two-day pass, $175 for a Friday-only pass, and $85 for a guardian pass (required for participants aged 14 to 17 years old).
