Lemonade Day coming to Peace River and Fairview

Lemonade Day2Mark your calendars for June 14th and be sure to get out and support our local youth setting up lemonade stands at various businesses in the Town of Peace River and the Town of Fairview. Lemonade Day teaches youth how to start, own, and operate their own business, fostering the next generation of business leaders, social advocates, community volunteers, and forward-thinking citizens. Community Futures Peace Country3 is grateful to be involved again, with the support of the Town of Fairview and the Fairview Chamber of Commerce. During this process, students will be provided training and will develop a business plan, get a business license 3and work with business owners to secure their lemonade stand location. We are taking part in our first organizational meeting next week with other communities in Alberta also taking part in this important initiative for local youth. Watch our Facebook Page for updates! This is a rain or shine event so be sure to come out and join us to support our local youth and celebrate their entrepreneurial spirit—one lemonade stand at a time!
